Getting started
Welcome! This section walks you through the basics: creating a project, adding languages, importing keys, and shipping translations.
What you’ll do
Section titled “What you’ll do”- Create your first project
- Add one or more languages
- Import or create keys
- Translate values manually or with auto-translate
- Export translations or enable CDN delivery
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”You’ll get the smoothest setup if you already know:
- The format you want to manage (e.g. JSON)
- How your app loads translations today (bundled vs runtime fetch)
If you don’t, no worries — the Quickstart covers the common approach.
Recommended first setup
Section titled “Recommended first setup”For most apps, start with:
- Base language: your source language (often
en) - 1–2 additional languages: to validate your workflow
- A small import set (a few files or one namespace) before migrating everything
This helps you verify:
- Key structure and naming
- Export format and nesting
- How updates flow into your app
